Dear SaaStr: How Common is it for Cofounders to Have Equal Splits in Terms of Equity?
The vast majority of SaaS companies that have IPO’d do not have equal splits.
In fact, only 4 of the most recent ~30 SaaS/Cloud IPOs I looked at had equal founder ownership at IPO, Atlassian, Pagerduty, and (close enough) MongoDB and Amplitude:
