Today I will cover one of the ways we at Anthony Cole Training Group, LLC coach sales managers to help them coach their salespeople to have more and better initial sales calls: Your USA! USA is the terminology we use at Anthony Cole Training Group as part of our Effective Selling System (ESS). It stands for unique sales approach.
B2B sales reps spend a lot of their time creating new opportunities. Some are fortunate enough to have a steady stream of inbound leads, while others must rely on their cold outreach strategy and their grit to keep their pipelines full. One valuable yet underutilized technique for creating sales opportunities is referrals. Referrals are a great way to generate new business, although most salespeople don’t use them.
“Efficiency,” “precision,” “agility, “more with less” — these words echo through Zoom calls, board rooms and budget pow-wows as economic uncertainty builds like black ice on a mountain road. Amid tightening markets and increasing KPIs, these words have quickly become imperatives for go-to-market (GTM) teams charged with identifying, engaging, generating and expanding revenue and relationships. .
Bad. — Cynthia Hollen / Omnitail … OnMyWay Commerce (@cynthiahollen) January 9, 2023. So the market is flooded with folks that are now “Fractional CROs” and “Fractional CMOs”. We’ve had Fractional CFOs for a very long time, and perhaps they inspired the trend. But Fractional CFOs are often different. They usually come in and handle compliance and oversight for an existing finance team that perhaps lacks the seasoned experience to handle models, venture capital and debt, prepare for

When Google announced the helpful content update , many in the SEO industry expected AI-generated content to get hit hard. . I was expecting AI-generated content to get wiped out by this supposedly sweeping update, comparable to 2011’s Panda algorithm update. Yet, no major impact was recorded. Soon after, Google released the October 2022 spam update and that’s when we saw websites using AI content affected, although not as dramatically.
If there’s one thing in business (and life) that’s guaranteed, it’s that things will break. To Wiz’s CRO, Colin Jones, breaking simply means “to cause something to stop working.” When you’re preparing for hyper-growth, the question isn’t “what will break?” but rather “what doesn’t break?”. After scaling from $0 to $100,000,000 in two years, Jones has a fair share of experience with things breaking.
R.I.P. AMP. In 2022, we revealed what happened when Search Engine Land shut off AMP. TL;DR: “We have seen very little disruption to our traffic and have reaped the benefit of having a clearer picture of our audience analytics.” We didn’t see any year-over-year declines in traffic that we could tie to AMP aside from the loss of pageviews to a handful of pieces that routinely spike for organic traffic.

Dear SaaStr: How Do You Handle Commissions if the Customer Auto-Upgrades for More Seats? There’s no perfect answer here, but what most startups do is comp the sales rep for any additional revenue in the 3–12 months following the sale. This will frustrate you, especially if the upgrade is from customer success, or is simply automated. You’ll have to pay up in a scenario where it seems the rep did no work.
There are three essential skills you need to develop to progress your SEM career. These critical skills apply to almost any industry, but we will make a specific case for roles within SEM: Clear communication. Effective collaboration. Focused productivity. Clear communication. Do not underestimate clear, concise communication. Communication is at the core of any role within a company or agency.
I happen to be in the camp of people that believe we should be working hard! We should be doing everything we can to be achieving our goals, fulfilling our responsibilities, and achieving our dreams. I’m one of those hard nosed people who believe anything short of that cheats those we work with/for, but most importantly, ourselves. By not behaving in that way, we fail to fulfill our commitments, and possibly potential.

From buried insights to manual handoffs, document-based workflows can quietly stall decision-making and drain resources. For large, complex organizations, legacy systems and siloed processes create friction that AI is uniquely positioned to resolve.
