For as long as anyone can remember, sales leaders have sought a way to ensure their team wins deals. They spent a lot of time and money developing a linear sales process that promised salespeople could consistently win deals simply by achieving the outcome of each opportunity stage. The fallacy is that the linear sales process disregards any other variables, including the quality of the salesperson, the value of the conversation to the client, and other elements that cannot be defined by a simpl
Recently, sitting with a sales management team, we started discussing the “Sales Process.” They displayed their sales process. As you might expect, the process was divided int a number of stages. Things like prospecting, qualifying, discovering, proposing, closing. (Theirs actually had different labels and a couple of additional stages).

For nearly a decade, Google Ads scripts have been the unsung heroes for advertisers aiming to automate their accounts. Initially created to empower users with JavaScript-driven automation capabilities, these scripts can now use the Google Ads API’s “mutate” function. This means advertisers can directly integrate with the myriad capabilities in the Ads API.
Ok now that some time has gone by I can reflect a bit more thoughtfully here. My top mistakes as a SaaS founder/CEO: Not convincing the very, very, very best VPE I knew to join as our VPE. I tried and I tried for years. But looking back, I should have tried even harder. I should have camped in his office and literally never taken No for an answer. It would have solved our top problems and been a game-changer.
Google has rolled out significant updates to its Performance Max Best Practice Guide. The refreshed document now includes information on new strategies, advising retail marketers on how they can better optimize campaigns and improve conversions. Why we care. If you don’t keep up-to-date with the latest best practice guidelines from Google, the strategies you use to optimise your campaigns may be outdated and no longer effective, which could cost you in terms of reach, conversion and ROI.
Dear SaaStr: How Do You Know When It’s Time to Sell Your Startup? First off, the axiom that companies are bought, not sold, is mostly right. 95 times out of 100, you can’t wake up some morning and just go sell your start-up. Unless there are pre-existing relationships that have expressed a desire to buy (which sometimes there are) … calling up CorpDev at Google isn’t going to work.
Documents are the backbone of enterprise operations, but they are also a common source of inefficiency. From buried insights to manual handoffs, document-based workflows can quietly stall decision-making and drain resources. For large, complex organizations, legacy systems and siloed processes create friction that AI is uniquely positioned to resolve.
It was one of the most intriguing After-Action Reviews (AARs) that I have facilitated in several years. As part of a leadership business simulation workshop, the five teams of five high-potential leaders were given 30 minutes to fill out a team survey and discuss and give each other feedback prior to the next round of the simulation. The client organization is a big DiSC house, so all of the high-potential leaders were supposed to provide their feedback through the lens of their DiSC personality

So we’ve covered hero company Atlassian many times on this series. First, it’s an epic bootstrapping success story. Second, it showed early you can build a SaaS and enterprise leader from anywhere. And third, it’s a SaaS and Cloud leader we all have opinions on. We have a sense of. And Atlassian has been saying something for quite a while — that while things have gotten harder the past 18 months or so, buyers are still buying.
Market insights are crucial, but what we call insights are often just observations. To really make the best decisions, you need to be clear on what an insight is, what it does for you, and how to generate them. To start, let’s get a common definition on what an insight is and what it does… and why it matters. The post Defining Market Insights and Why it Matters appeared first on Heinz Marketing.

Here I am, pushing 70, and I find myself at yet another crossroad. How much and how long I want to work has been a question for the last 15 plus years and … I’m still at it. The fact is, I like working and it’s one of the ways that I fund my toy collection. Now, I am not what one would consider to be an early adopter. I’m change hesitant primarily due to my cynical nature.
